Butter Machine
Michael Landau signature distortion - punchy and dynamic, responds beautifully to pick attack.
The Butter Machine is a collaboration between Vemuram and studio legend Michael Landau, designed as his ideal distortion pedal for punchy, driven tones that retain clarity. Years of development resulted in a pedal incredibly reactive to your playing dynamics.
The circuit delivers everything from subtle overdrive to aggressive, howling distortion. Dig in hard for punchy, mean tones; play softly for velvety overdrive with just the right treble bite. The remarkably open, natural-sounding drive maintains exceptional sustain while staying responsive to your pick attack.
Main controls include Volume, Gain, and Tone. Two internal trim pots add further refinement: Low-Mid adds weight and depth to the bottom end, while Sparkle is a peaking boost centered at 6kHz for extra crunch when you need to cut through. Current draw is 12.5mA.
