Yodeler
Compact delay-reverb combo with delay feeding reverb for spacious repeats—two effects in one package, 9V.
The Yodeler somehow crams reverb and delay into compact pedal format, addressing the common pedalboard space constraint where separate delay and reverb pedals consume valuable real estate. Unlike simple parallel delay/reverb combinations, the Yodeler's routing allows delay to feed reverb, adding spatial ambience to each repeat rather than treating both effects as independent parallel processing. This serial configuration creates depth and evolution in the delay tails impossible with parallel routing.
Delayed signal feeds into reverb algorithm, so each repeat generates its own reverb tail. As delay repeats decay, the reverb creates evolving spatial character—early repeats sound present and defined, later repeats become increasingly diffuse and atmospheric. This approach works naturally for ambient textures, shoegaze washes, and post-rock soundscapes where delay and reverb interact to create complex spatial processing beyond simple room simulation or echo repetition.
Standard 2.1mm center-negative 9V DC power. DIY design files available for $2. The Yodeler targets players with limited pedalboard space seeking delay and reverb combination in single compact enclosure, suitable for singer-songwriters, ambient musicians, and indie rock where spatial effects enhance melody without requiring complex multi-pedal routing or large pedalboard footprint.
