The Big Bad Wah is Joe Satriani's signature dual-mode wah pedal offering two completely different wah voicings in one unit. Wah 1 faithfully replicates classic Vox wah tone, while Wah 2 adds Drive boost and Voice controls.
Dual inductors (UK and USA style) let you select overall input character. The Drive knob delivers up to 10dB boost at maximum for aggressive, growling overtones. The Voice switch toggles between traditional wah voicing and a dark, resonant talk-box-like tone.
The pedal pot was designed to Satriani's custom specs for smooth, musical sweep. Built with quality bypass buffer, input impedance 1MΩ, current draw only 4mA. Now discontinued but still used in Satriani's live rig.
