Alchemy MKII
Stereo BBD chorus (3207 chip), tap tempo, 6 presets, 100% analog signal path despite digital control.
The Alchemy MKII is a stereo BBD (bucket-brigade device) chorus built around the reissued 3207 BBD chip, maintaining a 100% analog audio path while incorporating digital control features. A small microprocessor manages knob settings, tap tempo, and preset recall, but the guitar signal never undergoes digital processing—ensuring pure analog tonal integrity. Features six editable presets, tap tempo functionality, and delay control that sets center delay time for LFO modulation.
Controls include Speed, Depth, and Gain knobs, plus a Waveform switch for square, sine, and triangle waves. The tap tempo footswitch works with a Tempo Multiplier switch for quarter note, eighth note, and eighth note triplet modulations. Two tempo LEDs flash together in Normal mode and 180 degrees out of phase in Harmonic mode. Includes two independent expression pedal inputs for Speed and Depth control. Six presets indicated by color-changing LED. Retail price €249. Designed and built in Greece, capable of everything from lush modulation to wild detuned textures.
