The R1 is Walrus Audio's flagship reverb, offering six studio-quality algorithms: Spring for amp-style drip, Hall for concert spaces, Plate for dense '60s-style decay, BFR (Big F***ing Reverb) for massive arena sounds, Refract for glitchy textures, and Air for shimmering ambience.
The Sustain/Latch footswitch provides two functions: press and hold to momentarily sustain the current reverb indefinitely, or click to latch and play over an infinite pad. This enables live ambient performance without external loopers.
Nine onboard presets (128 via MIDI) with true preset spillover—the previous preset decays naturally when switching. Stereo in/out, MIDI control, and volume swell effect add performance flexibility. Three bypass modes cover trails, true bypass, and DSP bypass needs.
