The MagicStomp UB-99 brought Yamaha's high-end DSP technology from their DM2000 digital mixer and DG-series amplifiers down to compact stompbox format. 32-bit processing delivers amp simulations and effects algorithms previously available only in expensive rack units or mixing consoles, while 24-bit A/D conversion at 44.1kHz sample rate maintains studio-quality signal fidelity.
Ninety-nine preset programs cover classic effects combinations across multiple genres, ninety-nine user locations store custom patches. Effects library includes algorithms from Yamaha UD, AG, and DG Stomp programs plus digital effects from the legendary SPX family of studio processors. Three surface-mounted multi-function parameter knobs, increment/decrement and on/off switches, volume control, and four knobs plus three footswitches provide tactile real-time adjustment. Built-in chromatic auto-tuner eliminates need for separate tuner pedal.
USB connectivity enables patch editing via computer and downloading new effect programs as Yamaha released updates. Stereo balanced 1/4" outputs, 12W power consumption via included AC-10 adapter, 910g weight, hot-rod plum and brushed aluminum finish.
