Melee

The Melee is Walrus Audio's "Wall of Noise"—a distortion and reverb combo controlled by an innovative joystick. Move left/right to adjust reverb mix, up/down to control distortion amount. This intuitive interface enables real-time sound sculpting impossible with traditional knobs.

Three reverb modes—Ambient, Octave Down, and Reverse—pair with aggressive distortion. A signal order switch lets you run distortion into reverb (traditional) or reverb into distortion (for smeared, chaotic textures). Modulation can be added to the wet signal in three intensities.

The Sustain footswitch latches reverb decay for pad-like sounds. Controls include output volume, three-way toggles for distortion tone and reverb decay, and the joystick. DSP, DSP+True, and True Bypass modes cover different bypass needs. At 200mA current draw, use an isolated supply.
