The Arcane Preamp delivers dual-channel architecture combining medium-gain boost with high-gain fuzz, addressing players needing versatile gain staging from subtle enhancement through extreme saturation in single compact pedal. First channel provides medium-gain boost adding sparkle and breaking up into soft overdrive when hit hard, Gain and Level controls enable precise adjustment of boost character and output volume. Setting ratios of gain and level allows more gain and overdrive without excessive output level, maintaining manageable stage volume while increasing saturation.
Right footswitch activates high-gain fuzz channel fed by boost channel, creating hot lead tones or maximally crunched fuzz when both channels stack. Boost channel's gain knob affects fuzz channel gain, providing interactive gain staging where boost acts as preamp driving fuzz into higher saturation territories. Fuzz channel includes 3-band tone stack for comprehensive frequency shaping after fuzz distortion. True bypass operation via dual footswitches independently engaging boost and fuzz channels. Powers via standard 9V battery inside pedal for many hours of portable operation, or Boss-style 9V DC center-negative power supply.
