Pickle Pie B
Bass Big Muff variant preserving low-end fundamentals. Fuzz that keeps the bass guitar audible in a mix.
Modified Big Muff circuit extensively redesigned for bass guitar with FET-hybrid clipping sections completely changed from the guitar Pickle Pie version. FET buffered active clean-boost circuit provides the feel of running two amps—one wet, one dry—with no signal dropout when engaging fuzz.
Volume, Shape (widened tonal range for bass), Fuzz/Saturation (altered for usability at lower gain settings), and Clean Blend (active FET-buffered clean boost). Less pronounced mid-scoop than standard Muffs for better live presence in a bass mix.
Born from discovering that a large percentage of guitar Pickle Pie sales went to bass players. The FET-buffered clean blend and reduced mid-scoop solve the two biggest Muff problems for bass: low-end loss and disappearing from the mix. Alpha pots, Davies Daka-ware knobs, 5mA draw, 4.8 x 2.6 x 1.6 inches, 10 oz.
