Recreation of the early 1990s Tall Font Green Sovtek Big Muff—the first generation with side-mounted screws, identifiable by the taller font on the enclosure. Custom-matched transistors chosen for specific gain characteristics after testing vintage units, with modified pot values altered over 30% from standard specs.

Volume, Tone, and Distortion controls in triangle arrangement. Boxy growl with tight overdrive-like low-end compression and rich upper harmonics. More present and clear highs than Civil War-era Muff variants. Custom biasing resistor and capacitor values differ significantly from published schematics.

Fixes vintage Sovtek issues: true bypass instead of tone-sucking hardwire, power supply jack, smaller footprint, lighter weight. Great for bass and raunchy guitar tones associated with Black Keys, White Stripes, and Mars Volta. Alpha pots, 5mA draw, 4.8 x 2.6 x 1.6 inches, 9.5 oz.
