The Xotic BB Preamp MB adapts the classic BB Preamp circuit for bass guitar in a compact mini enclosure. The "MB" stands for Mini Bass, delivering the same Bluesbreaker-inspired preamp/overdrive tones with extended low-frequency response optimized for four, five, and six-string bass guitars. The circuit maintains tight bottom end even with heavy gain settings.

Controls mirror the original BB Preamp: Gain for drive intensity, Volume for output level, and two-band EQ with Bass and Treble adjustments offering ±15dB of tonal shaping. The voicing emphasizes the frequencies that keep bass cutting through while preserving low-end authority. The mini format conserves precious pedalboard space without sacrificing tone or build quality. Internal trim pots allow customizing the gain and bass response. True bypass switching and 9V DC operation ensure seamless integration into any bass rig. The BB Preamp MB brings Xotic's signature overdrive character to the low-frequency domain.
