BB Preamp Comp

The Xotic BB Preamp Comp merges the acclaimed BB Preamp overdrive circuit with an optical compressor in a dual-function pedal. The BB Preamp side delivers the same Marshall Bluesbreaker-inspired tones with its versatile gain range and musical two-band EQ, while the compressor adds dynamic control, sustain enhancement, and level consistency.

The compressor section uses an optical circuit design for smooth, natural compression that doesn't squeeze the life out of your playing. Controls allow adjusting compression amount, attack characteristics, and output level. The two sections can be used independently or together, with internal routing determining their order. Placing compression before drive yields a more saturated, sustained tone, while post-drive compression evens out volume spikes and adds polish. Both circuits maintain Xotic's commitment to premium components and musical voicing. True bypass switching and 9V DC operation provide standard pedalboard compatibility.
