Lo-Fi Loop Junky
20-second lo-fi looper at 6.4kHz sample rate. Warped-record vibrato, no overdub, intentionally degraded sound.
The Lo-Fi Loop Junky is a 20-second phrase sampler that embraces low fidelity as a creative feature. With a sample rate of just 6.4kHz (below telephone quality), it adds hiss, distortion, brick-wall compression, and a warped-record vibrato to everything recorded.
Controls include vibrato depth, speed, and tone manipulation for the degraded signal. There's no overdub capability, reinforcing its stripped-down, lo-fi philosophy. The frequency response cuts off at 2.6kHz, creating a decidedly vintage character.
Battery-only operation (with an optional power plate sold separately) emphasizes low current draw. The pedal runs extensively on a single 9V battery. It's not for pristine loops but for creating nostalgic, degraded textures that sound like recovered audio from forgotten recordings.
