Quaverato
Analog harmonic tremolo with digital controls, tap tempo multipliers, and 15dB boost.
Zeppelin Design Labs, known for their DIY pedal kits and ready-made boutique effects, created the Quaverato to offer both traditional in-phase tremolo and the rarer harmonic out-of-phase tremolo in a single pedal. The design combines digitally controlled parameters with an entirely analog signal path, delivering maximum flexibility without sacrificing tone.
The Quaverato provides independent control over high and low frequency bands, each with adjustable crossover frequencies and individual volume controls set via internal trimpots. The LFO offers wave shape, rate, depth, and spacing (duty cycle) adjustments. Tap tempo includes six multiplier ratios (4:1, 3:1, 2:1, 1.5:1, 1:1, 0.5:1) for precise rhythmic synchronization. Up to 15dB of clean boost is available, and the footswitch can operate as either a toggle or momentary switch. Relay-controlled true bypass switching with click suppression ensures studio-grade quiet operation.
The harmonic mode creates dynamic swirling effects impossible with standard tremolo, splitting your signal into high and low bands that modulate out of phase. Traditional mode provides classic in-phase amplitude modulation. The 20-gauge galvanized steel enclosure measures 5" × 4.19" × 2" and weighs 21.5oz. MIDI implementation is available as an optional upgrade. Current draw is 200mA from standard 9V center-negative power.
