Ecstasy Blue Mini
Ecstasy Blue channel in mini format. Same Class-A gain stages, Plexi-to-JCM crunch, smaller footprint.
Reinhold Bogner arrived in Los Angeles in 1989 with a modded JCM 800 that Eddie Van Halen bought on the spot. Within years, players like Steve Vai, Allan Holdsworth, and Steve Stevens were lining up for his amps. The Ecstasy became the flagship, a three-channel monster that defined modern high-gain versatility.
The Ecstasy Blue Mini packs the blue channel's Class-A gain stage topology into a pedalboard-friendly enclosure. No op-amps, no diode clipping, just the same discrete circuitry as the full-size version. The three-position mode switch offers Plexi crunch (L), Blue channel mid-gain (M), and Blue with boost engaged (H).
Active Bass, Middle, and Treble controls shape the response. A bottom-mounted trim pot adjusts the mid frequency sweep. The Variac switch adds that spongy, voltage-starved compression. Internal voltage elevation maintains the tube-amp dynamics Bogner is known for.
All the Ecstasy Blue character without the real estate. Requires 9V DC power supply only (no battery option).
