DD-6 Digital Delay
Digital delay with 5200ms time, warp mode, reverse, and tap tempo. 2002-2008.
Released in 2002, the DD-6 extended Boss's compact delay line with 5200ms of delay time, a Warp mode that sends repeats into self-oscillation at the press of a footswitch, and reverse delay with better tracking than the DD-5.
Seven modes: Standard (up to 5200ms), Delay + Reverb, Tap Tempo, Warp, Modulation, Reverse, and Hold. The Warp function became a fan favorite: hold down the footswitch and the delay spirals into runaway feedback, release and it snaps back. Great for noise sections and ambient builds.
E.Level, F.Back, D.Time, and Mode. The extended delay time was a significant jump from the DD-5's 2000ms, putting it closer to the DD-20's capabilities in a single-footswitch format.
At 55mA it's efficient for a digital pedal. The DD-6 served as the mid-range Boss delay from 2002 to 2008, bridging the gap between the straightforward DD-3 and the feature-rich DD-20.
