PH-2 Super Phase
12-stage phaser with deep, swirling modulation - more dramatic than the PH-1.
The PH-2 Super Phase expanded Boss's phaser line with two selectable phase modes, offering different sweep depths and characters. Released in 1984, it gave players more phaser options than the single-mode PH-1R.
Two modes provide different phase shift depths. Mode I is a standard four-stage phaser similar to the PH-1. Mode II adds more phase stages for a deeper, more complex sweep with richer harmonic interaction. The additional stages produce a thicker, more swirling phase effect.
Rate, Depth, Resonance, and Mode controls. At 16mA it draws more than its predecessors. The two-mode approach gives the PH-2 more range than a single-mode phaser, covering subtle shimmer through deep, immersive phase sweeps.
Produced from 1984 to 2001. The PH-2 bridged the analog simplicity of the PH-1 era with the more complex digital phasers that would follow.
