Topanga

The Catalinbread Topanga captures the legendary Fender 6G15 outboard spring reverb that defined surf and spaghetti western guitar tones. Those tolex-covered outboard tanks were essential to 60s guitar sound.

Four controls provide Dwell (input drive, can crash the springs), Tone (high cut on wet signal), Mix (extends to 100% wet), and Volume (discrete preamp with clean boost capability). The Topanga models nonlinearities of the 6G15's tube amplification.

All the authentic sounds are captured: flutter, cluck, clang, and drippy splash. The preamp can provide substantial clean boost. Runs from 9-18V; higher voltage increases headroom and boost capability. Hand-built in Portland, Oregon.
