The Powerdriver 18 is a faithful recreation of the Colorsound Power Boost - one of the very first overdrive pedals to hit the market. The original became a favorite of Jeff Beck and David Gilmour, both using it to create their signature sounds in the early '70s.
This version features two key upgrades: internal voltage doubling from 9V to 18V (eliminating the need for two 9V batteries like the original) and an added master volume control to tame the huge volume boost when desired. Housed in a pedalboard-friendly 125B enclosure, powder coated and UV printed for durability. Requires external 9V power (no room for battery). Handwired in Sydney.
