The DOD Rubberneck is a feature-packed analog delay using bucket-brigade device (BBD) chips for warm, organic repeats. With up to 1.5 seconds of delay time, it pushes the boundaries of what BBD technology can achieve while maintaining analog character.
The control set is extensive: Time, Feedback, Mix, and Gain cover the basics, while Rate and Depth add chorus-like modulation to the repeats. The Rubberneck toggle enables real-time delay time manipulation via an expression pedal or the built-in tap tempo.
Four assignable footswitches (Effect, Tap Tempo, Rubberneck, and one more) provide performance flexibility rare in analog delays. At 150mA current draw, it needs more power than simple pedals but delivers capabilities that rival digital delays while retaining that coveted analog warmth.
