Bloom
Bixonic Expandora clone with 4 gain modes, 3 clipping voices, and 3-way bass filter.
Drunk Beaver is a Polish pedal company founded by Ukrainian builder Vitalii Bobrov, specializing in hot-rodded recreations of rare and discontinued circuits.
The Bloom resurrects the rare Bixonic Expandora, a quirky overdrive/distortion beloved for its unique midrange character. A single rotary replaces the original's dual-switch design with four modes: Overdrive, Crunch, Distortion, and the "forbidden" Fuzz setting from the original unit. The Voice switch selects silicon diodes, LEDs, or NOS germanium for three distinct clipping textures.
Gain, Tone, and Volume handle the basics while a 3-way Fat switch adjusts output bass filtering from Classic to Tight to Fat (making it usable for bass guitar too). Draws 30mA from a standard 9V DC center-negative supply.
