IdiotBox Effects has a reputation for ambitious designs, and the No Moon is their most audacious: a Death Star-themed mega-pedal containing a Tube Screamer, RAT, and Big Muff all running in parallel. One box, three legendary circuits, infinite combinations.
Unlike typical multi-drive pedals that stack circuits in series, the No Moon runs all three in parallel. This means you can blend the mid-push of a Tube Screamer with the aggressive bite of a RAT and the massive sustain of a Big Muff simultaneously. Each circuit has its own controls and can be mixed to taste.
The oversized enclosure houses individual gain and level controls for each circuit section, plus a master volume. Users praise it as potentially "your entire drive section" in one pedal, capable of everything from subtle boost stacking to complete sonic destruction.
Powered by 9V at just 17mA despite the three circuits, the No Moon uses buffered bypass and measures 7.38 x 4.70 x 1.30 inches. Named after the famous Star Wars line, it truly is a weapon of tonal destruction.
