Mateus Asato signature: JCM800-style distortion plus Tube Screamer overdrive. Four clipping modes each, MIDI control.
Jackson Audio builds premium effects in Fort Worth, Texas, combining analog circuits with digital control features like MIDI and presets. Their collaboration-driven approach has produced signature pedals with Joey Landreth, Cory Wong, and Mateus Asato.
The El Guapo is Mateus Asato signature dual-circuit pedal. The distortion side models a JCM800 with four clipping options (Guv-nor, RAT, asymmetric, symmetric). The overdrive side offers Marshall, Screamer, Timmy, and King of Tone voicings.
Distortion controls: Volume, Presence, Distortion, Bass, Middle, Treble. Overdrive gets Volume, Tone, Drive. Full MIDI control for preset recall. Two independent footswitches let you stack or use either circuit alone.
