LastGasp Art Laboratories was founded by Hirofumi Uchino in Tokyo in 1992, with roots in the experimental noise scene. After relocating to Sydney, Australia in 2005, Hiro rebuilt the entire production line from scratch, creating wildly unconventional effects championed by noise and experimental artists worldwide. The Thunder Box creates the 'Donshari' sound - Japanese slang combining 'Don' (low sound) and 'Shari' (high sound). Unlike complex EQs that can color your tone in unwanted ways, the Thunder Box focuses exclusively on boosting treble and bass frequencies while leaving the mids untouched. A single knob controls both high and low boost simultaneously, making it incredibly simple to dial in a powerful, enhanced sound.
