Drive Master
The 1991 overdrive/distortion for classic crunch tones. Delivers smooth breakup with responsive touch dynamics.
The Drivemaster provided overdrive and distortion for classic crunch tones. The circuit bridged the gap between the transparent Bluesbreaker and extreme Shredmaster.
Four knobs shaped the crunch character: Gain, Treble, Middle, Bass plus Volume. The voicing targeted that classic Marshall crunch territory rather than extreme gain or transparent boost.
The Drivemaster served players wanting reliable Marshall crunch without the clean boost emphasis of the Bluesbreaker or extreme gain of the Shredmaster. Middle ground for rock applications.
Part of Marshall's early 90s pedal line alongside the Bluesbreaker and Shredmaster. True bypass switching for clean signal when disengaged.
