Deuce Coupe
Cult-classic transparent overdrive reborn. Two channels, +56dB on tap, feels like your amp woke up.
Jack Deville designed the original Deuce Coupe in late 2011 and it immediately developed a cult following for doing something most overdrives don't: disappearing. It doesn't color your tone or compress your dynamics—it amplifies what's already there. Roll back your guitar volume and it cleans up completely. Dig in hard and it pushes back with real amp-like sag. MusicRadar called it "one of the most responsive and dynamic overdrive circuits ever created."
Two channels accessed via soft-touch footswitches: the Drive channel (+1dB to +40.8dB) for pushed-clean-to-crunch, and the Ultra channel (+1.8dB to +56.5dB) for when you need the room to pay attention. The Ultra Boost knob is adjustable on the fly in the 2023 reissue. Internal +/-9V split-rail supply gives it headroom that belies the compact enclosure.
Click-Less relay true bypass. 9VDC center-negative, ~22mA. Input impedance ~480KΩ. Handmade in Portland, Oregon.
