Altitude

Part of Nordvang's compact 1590B3 trifecta alongside the Mid Air and Skyline. The Altitude pairs a full overdrive circuit with an independent post-drive clean boost, both squeezed into a Hammond 1590B3 via stacked PCBs.

The overdrive section has Gain, Tone, Level, and a Clarity knob for high-frequency fine-tuning, plus a three-position CLIP toggle (4-diode, 6-diode, or open/no diodes). Internal dip switches add a High Gain mode (+50% gain range) and a Lows boost. A charge pump voltage doubler extends headroom beyond the 9V supply.

The boost runs post-drive and works independently via its own footswitch. Unity to 18dB of clean gain with a three-position EQ toggle: full frequency, low-mids, or high-mids. Switchable buffered/true bypass with automatic failsafe to true bypass on power loss. WIMA film caps, Vishay resistors, Van den Hul D-501 cabling.
