Transience
CMOS drone synth with three oscillators, starve control, and an input channel that doubles as a signal booster.
The Transience is a modulated drone synthesizer built around CMOS technology, not a guitar effect in the traditional sense. Three independent oscillators generate droning tones while a fourth oscillator modulates them at a rate controlled by the MOD knob.
OSC 1, 2, and 3 each have dedicated frequency knobs. The STARVE knob controls power supply voltage to the oscillators, producing more pronounced low-frequency modulation as voltage drops. DRONE controls drone volume, and a toggle switch enables or kills drone power entirely. A separate INPUT channel with its own gain knob accepts external instruments through a buffered gain stage that also functions as a standalone signal booster when the drone is off.
Housed in a 1590BBS enclosure at 4.6 x 3.8 inches, 471g. Runs on 9V center-negative at 32mA, no battery option.
