The Soul Pressure is Secret EFX's take on legendary Ross Compressor circuit, modified to deliver extreme transparency and reactive response to musician's touch. Handbuilt in Genzano, Italy, Soul Pressure transforms classic compression formula into boutique tool designed for modern pedalboards.
While based on Ross circuit architecture, Secret EFX's modifications focus on transparency and dynamic response. Pedal features three intuitive controls: Comp (which governs overall compression level, threshold, and compression ratio), Release (which brings uniformity to funky rhythmic playing when turned clockwise), and Volume (to compensate for any perceived volume loss from compression process).
Soul Pressure accepts supply voltages from 9V to 12V DC, with higher voltages making effect respond more dynamically to playing nuances. Pedal can also run on standard 9V battery for portable applications. Like all Secret EFX pedals, it features true bypass switching with high-brightness LED indicator. Soul Pressure excels at adding sustain and evening out dynamics without squashing your tone, making it easy-to-use compressor that enhances rather than dominates your sound.
