Pedal features three-way clipping switch that provides three distinct voice options: Tube Screamer-style clipping, Plexi-style clipping, and diode lift configuration. At heart of Feather Drive is thoughtfully designed gain structure, which maintains transparency and note definition even at higher gain settings. V2 iteration brought significant improvements with more balanced EQ and smoother gain stage compared to original version, addressing frequency response across entire spectrum. Pedal features standard three-knob layout with Level (volume), Tone, and Gain controls, each offering considerable range for precise tonal shaping.
Feather Drive excels as both dedicated overdrive and clean boost. When gain control is turned down and level is increased, pedal functions as transparent clean boost, adding volume and presence without coloring tone. Three clipping options provide distinct sonic characters: TS mode delivers mid-focused warmth reminiscent of classic tube screamer circuits, Plexi mode offers more open, amp-like breakup with enhanced clarity, and diode lift setting provides maximum headroom and dynamic response for pushing already-saturated amplifiers.
