The Sinvertek N5 MGAT-1 (Multistage Gain Generator & Advanced Tone-shaping system platform 1) represents landmark achievement in Marshall amplifier emulation, recreating preamp circuits of five iconic Marshall amplifiers: JTM45, JMC800, 1959 SLP (Super Lead Plexi), 1987 X, and JVM. Hand-wired by designer Mr. Wu and limited to 250 units worldwide, this pedal housed in compact 1590B-style enclosure while containing circuit complexity and feature density rivaling full amplifier heads. MGAT-1's circuit design replicates actual tube amp preamp architecture rather than approximating it.

Pedal features three completely different channels providing comprehensive tonal coverage: Clean & Crunch channel designed according to JTM45 for classic early British clean and crunch tones; OD1 channel covering late 1960s through 1980s hard rock including JCM800 and Plexi characteristics; and OD2 channel delivering high-gain modern Marshall tones in style of JCM2000 and JVM amplifiers. In total, MGAT-1 can provide 19 different gain tones, covering complete spectrum from sparkling clean to ultra-high-gain, with various amplification styles and eras represented.

Control layout features 14 parameters: Volume, Marshall Amp Frequency Character (JCM/JTM/SLP & JVM), Gain, Low Frequency Response (Full/Standard/More), Output Type selector, Gain Structure (Low/Standard/High), Tone Era (JCM/Plexi/JVM), Presence, Channel Select (CH1 Plexi/CH2 JCM800/CH3 JCM2000 and JVM), Treble, Mid, Channel 2 Saturation (More/Stock/Most), Channel 3 Saturation (More/Stock/Most), and Bass. OD1 and OD2 channels share three-level selectable Gain Structure control that adjusts internal gain stage architecture for different gain feel and response, plus independent three-level selectable Gain Saturation controls. Circuit achieves exact matching with real tube amps in terms of frequency response, dynamics, touch sensitivity, and even EQ interaction behavior.
