The Sinvertek N5 MGAT-5 represents fifth generation of Sinvertek's N5/MGAT pedal platform, marking significant departure from Marshall-focused designs to concentrate exclusively on legendary Soldano SLO-100 amplifier. MGAT-5 introduces SRAA (Sinvertek Real Amp Abstraction) technology, described by Sinvertek as "only high-complexity analog circuit technology that can completely replace tube amps." This advanced circuit architecture accurately reproduces not just preamp section but also frequency response characteristics of power tubes and output transformers, achieving frequency energy density and distribution matching actual tube amplification.

Pedal features six distinct channels: three channels that are completely identical to Soldano SLO-100's three channels, plus three additional modified channels based on SLO-100 architecture but offering tonal variations beyond original amplifier's scope. Three main channels are designated CH1BO, CH2TB, and CH3GS, directly replicating clean, overdrive, and high-gain channels of SLO-100. SRAA technology's most remarkable achievement is its ability to reproduce both Speaker Out and Preamp Out tones of SLO-100, capturing complete signal chain characteristics including power amp compression, transformer saturation, and speaker interaction effects.

Control layout features 15 comprehensive controls providing unprecedented tonal flexibility. Standard EQ knobs include Bass, Middle, Treble, and Presence, operating with same interactive behavior as SLO-100's tone stack. Clean Channel Filter switch offers UP position for brighter sound (ideal for CH1 and CH2 channels) and DOWN position for more subdued tone (perfect for CH3 or CH2TB channels when extreme gain desired). Three T.S.N. (Tone Shaping Network) switches - T.S.N.-A, T.S.N.-B, and T.S.N.-C - allow adjustment to many tones beyond what SLO-100 can achieve. Validation testing has shown that unprocessed comparison between MGAT-5's output signal and attenuated SLO-100 speaker output signal at audio interface input can reach up to 99% similarity.
