Booster Fuzz

The Boosted Fuzz combines a Rangemaster-style treble booster with a Fuzz Face circuit. Low-gain silicon transistors retain the sonic characteristics of germanium fuzzes—excellent volume rolloff, smooth clipping—with the temperature stability of silicon.

The Pre knob controls bass content and mellowness. Full up delivers saturated full-spectrum fuzz with tons of bass. Rolling back removes low end and mellows the texture. The Bias knob starves the circuit for velcro sputters or over-saturates for thick sustain. The controls interact extensively for countless tonal variations.

Hand-made in Guelph, Ontario with sparkling purple finish. Compact 1590b enclosure with top-mounted jacks. Current draw approximately 10mA. As with many versatile fuzzes, some settings produce oscillation and noise—the Bias knob typically tames unwanted artifacts.
