Oxford Drive V1
Marshall Shredmaster-inspired distortion with 3 clipping modes. Contour, Treble, Bass, Gain, Volume controls.
The King of Gear Oxford Drive V1 is a distortion pedal released in late 2019, inspired by the 1991 Marshall Shredmaster. The pedal offers three clipping modes for versatile drive tones: silicon (the standard setting), LED (inspired by vintage Guv'nor and Drivemaster pedals for a more open sound), and asymmetrical (a hybrid combining silicon and LED characteristics). The five-knob layout provides Contour, Treble, Bass, Gain, and Volume controls for comprehensive tone shaping. The pedal emulates the Shredmaster's aggressive high-gain character while offering more tonal flexibility through its expanded EQ and clipping options. Housed in a small 1590B enclosure, the Oxford Drive V1 was later superseded by the V2 model which added a voice switch and improved circuit design. The V1 remains a capable high-gain distortion
