Tremonator
Analog tremolo with tap tempo, SIN/SQR wave, Multiplier (8x speed), Symmetry/Mix/Volume—28mA@9V, 380g.
The Tremonator delivers highly flexible tremolo from subtle pulsations to rhythmic waveforms to synth-like textures suitable for ambient, electronic, and percussive applications. Completely analog circuit with dual footswitch providing effect bypass and tap tempo—tap tempo allows syncing tremolo speed to song tempo without manual Speed adjustment. Wave SIN/SQR toggle selects between smooth sine wave (gentle, musical pulsing) or sharp square wave (choppy, on/off tremolo).
Symmetry control adjusts waveform shape (symmetrical sine produces even up/down modulation, asymmetrical creates uneven pulsing), Mix controls tremolo depth (low mix for subtle shimmer, high mix for pronounced volume modulation), Volume sets output level, Rate controls tremolo speed, and Multiplier increases speed up to eight times current setting—allowing extremely fast tremolo pulses impossible with Rate control alone, useful for creating ring modulation-style textures or rhythmic effects.
Dimensions 94x123.5x53mm (approximately two standard pedal size), 380g weight, sturdy metal construction. Input impedance 470kΩ, output impedance 2.2Ω, hardwired true bypass. 28mA current draw, 9V DC center-negative power (external adapter required, battery not supported). Status LED indicates effect on/off and provides tap tempo feedback. The Tremonator targets players seeking versatile tremolo beyond simple rate/depth control, suitable for surf rock, ambient, and experimental music where rhythmic modulation and textural tremolo drive compositional structure.
