Super Heavy
Digital reverb with gain/delay stages (up to 500ms), 7 presets, stereo I/O, firmware updates via USB—9V.
The Super Heavy Reverb creates massive, space-rich reverb by running signal through gain and delay stages before feeding into reverb algorithm, building dense, evolving textures beyond simple room or hall emulation. Gain stages add harmonic saturation and compression, delay (up to 500ms) creates pre-reverb rhythmic patterns, then the signal feeds into reverb creating super massive black hole reverb character—hence the name referencing astronomical phenomena.
Stereo inputs and outputs (separate jacks for each channel) allow true stereo processing and spatial effects placement impossible with mono configurations. Seven user preset slots store favorite settings for instant recall during performance without menu diving. User-updatable firmware via USB ensures the pedal receives latest algorithm improvements and feature additions as Tom Kogut continues development. All parts of the signal chain adjust through several menu pages for complete sound customization—from subtle spatial enhancement to overwhelming reverb abyss.
9V DC center-negative power. The Super Heavy targets ambient musicians, post-rock bands, and experimental players seeking massive reverb textures with delay and drive elements integrated into single processing chain, suitable for shoegaze, ambient, and drone music where reverb IS the composition rather than simple spatial enhancement. Reverb decay can extend indefinitely with feedback adjustments, creating self-oscillating drones and textural beds.
