Shanks 4K

The Shanks 4K was designed to recreate the classic 60s Fuzz Face overdrive/boost sound using vintage germanium transistors. The 4K designation refers to its four knobs: Level, Fuzz, Bass, and Treble, offering more tonal control than vintage two-knob designs.

Two vintage germanium transistors deliver authentic Fuzz Face character, while a modern output circuit provides higher headroom than original designs. The Fuzz Color trim potentiometer on the front of the solid brass housing allows precise adjustment of the distortion character. The tonal range is exceptionally wide, from firm and bright clean tones to edgy, crunchy boost and full-on vintage fuzz.

Controls include Level, Fuzz, Bass, and Treble, plus the front-mounted Fuzz Color trimmer. IMPORTANT: Do not use higher voltage than 9V with this pedal - it is specifically created and designed for 9V operation only. The germanium circuit provides touch-sensitive response that cleans up beautifully with your guitar's volume knob.
