H2O Chorus - Echo
Dual-effect pedal combining analog chorus with BBD chips and hybrid analog/digital echo up to 800ms, with independent controls.
The H2O combines fully independent analog chorus and hybrid analog/digital echo circuits in one enclosure. The chorus section uses rare NOS (new old stock) BBD (bucket-brigade device) chips for liquid analog modulation, with Speed, Width, and Delay Time controls plus a Norm/Lush switch. The analog chorus can dial in classic chorus, vibrato, and rotating speaker effects. The echo section provides warm, analog-voiced digital delay from 10ms to 800ms (V2 version up to 450ms, V3 up to 800ms) with Echo Time, Repeats, and Effect Level controls, plus a Short/Long switch.
Both effects feature clickless Forever Footswitches for independent on/off operation. Internal switches allow users to select buffer or true-bypass operation for each footswitch individually. Stereo output capability with dedicated echo output jack for dual-amp setups. Works with electric guitar, acoustic guitar, and bass. The hybrid architecture maintains analog signal path for chorus while providing extended delay times via digital circuitry. Dimensions: 5" × 6" (126 × 153mm). Current draw: 41-55mA (varies with echo time setting). Requires 9V DC power via battery or optional adapter. Visual Sound rebranded as Truetone in 2015, but the H2O remained a cornerstone product in the lineup.
