The Xotic AC Booster V2 expands on the original's Vox-inspired voice with added controls and enhanced versatility. The most significant upgrade is a dedicated Volume knob separate from the Gain control, allowing independent adjustment of output level and drive intensity. This separation enables using the pedal as a clean boost, dirty boost, or full overdrive without volume jumps.
The two-band EQ retains the original's musical ±15dB bass and treble adjustment, while internal trim pots provide additional fine-tuning options. The V2 maintains the original's chimey, articulate character while offering extended gain range from transparent clean boost through thicker overdrive textures. True bypass switching preserves tone when bypassed, and the pedal accepts 9-18V DC power for adjustable headroom. The AC Booster V2 represents Xotic's refined approach to the versatile boost/overdrive category.
