The Xotic Robotalk 2 is a comprehensive envelope filter featuring dual independent filter sections for complex, evolving tones. Unlike simple auto-wahs, the Robotalk 2 provides separate high-pass and low-pass filters that can be triggered independently or simultaneously, creating everything from classic funk tones to synthesizer-like sweeps and vocal effects.
Each filter section offers controls for sensitivity, Q (resonance), and range, allowing precise customization of the envelope response. A dedicated Mix knob blends the filtered signal with your dry tone for subtle enhancement or full-wet effect intensity. The dual-filter architecture enables sounds not possible with single-filter designs: vowel-like articulations, talking effects, and complex filter interactions. Internal switches provide additional voicing options. True bypass switching and 9V DC operation ensure standard compatibility. The Robotalk 2 delivers professional envelope filter capabilities in a pedalboard-friendly format.
