Mastotron

The Mastotron is Zvex's silicon-based fuzz designed for players who need consistent performance across varying temperatures and venues. Where germanium fuzzes can be finicky in heat, the Mastotron delivers reliable aggression night after night.

Unique to this design is the Relax/Push toggle controlling input impedance. Push mode works like traditional fuzz, while Relax mode increases input impedance for compatibility with other pedals and buffers. The Subs switch adds thunderous low end when needed.

Controls include Output, Fuzz, Tone, and the Push/Relax toggle. The circuit maintains the characteristic sputtering and gating that Zvex fuzzes are known for while offering more predictable behavior. It's become popular among touring musicians who can't afford the unpredictability of vintage-style germanium circuits.
