WR-3 Wah Rocker
Envelope filter based on the legendary Guyatone WR-3, with added controls for range, gain, and guitar/bass voicing.
The TWA WR-3 Wah Rocker resurrects the fan-favorite Guyatone envelope filter that achieved cult status before being discontinued in 2013. When original units became scarce, prices skyrocketed—prompting TWA to create this faithful recreation with significant improvements.
The TWA version nails the squawky, slippery, super-funked-up filtering of the Guyatone original while adding features that address its limitations. A Range control adjusts the frequency band of the filter sweep, while a Gain control prevents the effect from getting lost in dense mixes. A continuously variable Blend control (replacing the original's switch) allows for beefier bottom-end.
A Guitar/Bass switch adds the sounds of the almost-as-legendary Bottom Wah Rocker, making this pedal equally useful for four-string funk. Notable users include Guthrie Govan, Lenny Kravitz, Tool's Justin Chancellor, and Beck's Justin Meldal-Johnsen.
