Gomorrah
Input-sensitive subharmonic fuzz generating one or two octaves down based on playing dynamics.
LastGasp Art Laboratories was founded by Hirofumi Uchino in Tokyo in 1992, with roots in the experimental noise scene. After relocating to Sydney, Australia in 2005, Hiro rebuilt the entire production line from scratch, creating wildly unconventional effects championed by noise and experimental artists worldwide.
The Gomorrah is a subharmonic fuzz that creates synthetic lower octave sounds based on your playing dynamics. Strong input signals output at pitch, medium intensity drops one octave, and softer playing triggers two octaves down. This input-sensitivity creates random arpeggiator-like pitch stepping as you play.
The Sensitivity knob precisely sets the volume thresholds for octave switching, while a Mode switch toggles between subharmonic (SB) square wave and Overtone (OT) mode for upper harmonics. The Overtone mode delivers aggressive fuzzy textures, while the Subharmonic side produces more subdued, synth-like tones.
