The Homework Series Overdrive reimagines the classic Ibanez Tubescreamer circuit with modern enhancements. While maintaining the Tubescreamer's signature mid-focused overdrive character, the pedal adds a dedicated Treble control working in conjunction with the Tone control for more precise high-frequency shaping, and a three-position clipping toggle that dramatically alters the pedal's voice.
Vol sets output, Drive controls saturation amount, Tone adjusts high-end content (counterclockwise increases brightness), and Treble provides additional treble shaping. The clipping toggle offers LED (compressed crunch with asymmetrical clipping), NO (cleaner, louder boost mode with no clipping diodes—useful for pushing already-driven amplifiers), and SI (smooth asymmetrical silicon diode clipping similar to classic Tubescreamer but with refined character).
Relay-based soft-touch true bypass defaults to bypass when unpowered. 9V DC center-negative power at 25mA draw. Handmade in Winnipeg with Canadian notebook-inspired artwork as part of the Homework Series.
